Getting there
From Brisbane 2hr/113 km. Follow Pacific Highway to Beenleigh, take exit 34. Then follow signage towards Beaudesert, take Canungra/Nerang turn off (O’Reilly’s Plateau) shortly after Tamborine Village.
From the Gold Coast 1hr 15 mins/75 km. Follow Pacific Highway to Nerang. Head west & follow signage to Canungra (O’Reilly’s Plateau). Turn onto Kidston Street & then follow signage to O’Reilly’s, Green Mountains.
Some iPhone Maps will take you towards Binna Burra. This is incorrect. Instead please type in Kidston Street, Canungra. Once you reach The Canungra Hotel, Turn on Kidston Street off the main Road in Canungra (Nerang Beaudesert Road) as it turns into Lamington National Park Road. You will need to stay on this road as it takes you up the mountain, through the rainforest to O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. Hint: If you pass O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards you’re heading the right way. Also, please be advised that Duck Creek Road, which is an alternate road to O’Reilly’s – is completely closed. Do not try and use this road to get to the Retreat.
Canungra is the closest village and is about 45 minutes’ drive from O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. From Canungra the main road (Lamington National Park Road) soon becomes narrow and windy but the scenery is spectacular. Accommodation
As it is a narrow and steep drive to the wedding venue with no illumination at night, we recommend spending the night at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, so that you can relax and enjoy a beverage or two!

Please keep in mind that O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat is a secluded location, nestled in beautiful Lamington National Park. Temperatures on the mountain are typically about 5 degrees cooler than Brisbane temperatures. The nearest supermarket is 45 minutes away, please bring everything you require for your stay, including a jacket for the evening! The retreat does have restaurants, cafes and a gift store on site.
The special rates are locked in up until 90 days before the wedding. Please book well in advance, so O’Reilly’s can group all of our guests together.
